A young girl and her baby brother somersaulted down an escalator in a horror Russian shopping mall accident while their mother was trying on clothes in a nearby shop.
The woman told her daughter Mudina, six, and one of her friends to stand outside the Moscow fashion shop and look after son Mukhammadali, one, who was in a pushchair.
Instead, the girl pushed her brother’s pushchair onto the escalator but she lost control.

A shop assistant on a smoking break rushed to the bottom of the escalator to save the children.

The friend is seen at the top of the escalator running to tell the unnamed mother about the accident.
The children had been ‘ordered to stand near the clothes shop’ while the mother and her female friend tried on outfits, reported Moskovsky Komsomolets.
‘The kids disobeyed the order of the adults.
‘They decided to go down the escalator.’
The girl and boy both suffered head wounds, said reports.

The boy lost two teeth, and wounds to his tongue and chin, and was being treated in Botkin hospital.
The girl was allowed home.
The children’s father was identified as Toshtemir Makhmadaliev, 32, a dairy plant worker.
Social services are to carry out a check into the family, said reports.
